Tea Towels and Pillow Cases
To make sure that all your students’ pictures will fit on your product, please provide each child with the appropriate-sized piece of paper according to the chart below.
Tea towel and pillow case drawing size chart:
| No. of drawings | 50 | 100 | 150 | 200 |
| Head only drawings | 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” | 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” | 1 ½ x 1 ½” | 1 ¼” x 1 ¼” |
| Head + body drawings | 2″ x 3 ½” | 1 3/8″ x 2 ½” | 1 ¼” x 2″ | 1″ x 1 ¼” |
Use only black markers—drawings in pencil or markers of any other color cannot be printed on your product.
Designs look best if all drawings are done with the same type of pen. We recommend the use of a Sharpie fine point for 50 – 130 portraits; for a larger number of portraits, use a Sharpie ultra-fine or similar pen.
Make sure that all children’s names and pictures are clear and readable, and that any pencil lines are trimmed—otherwise they will appear on your final design.
Make sure all drawings are glued securely to your design using strong glue, or use the adhesive-backed paper included in the art work kit you received.
Leave space for the name and logo of your school. Use layout guidelines on the paper template to find the center of your design.
DO NOT FOLD YOUR LAYOUT. Send it back to Portrait Press Fundraising in the cardboard tube used to deliver your artwork kit.
A proof of your artwork will be e-mailed to you for your approval before your fundraiser is printed. Payment will only be processed once we receive your approval.
Tote Bags
Decide on the type of bag design you are going to produce. Popular designs include child self portraits, hand and footprints, logos, and drawings of school buildings. The maximum print area is 12″ x 12″
If you decide to use a child’s self portrait or hand/footprint design, use our size chart below to make sure all pictures will fit on your layout. We recommend a maximum of 70 portraits or 50 hand prints on one side of the bag. Hand/footprints may need to be reduced on a photocopier being incorporated into your design.
