Our vision is to inspire elementary schools in the United States to be part of something larger while celebrating and fundraising for their own unique community.
We work to make this vision a reality on three levels:
1. Local: your school. We are committed to offering compelling products at a competitive cost so your PTA can at least double its investment in your school’s Portrait Press fundraiser. At the same time, by giving your students an important, hands-on role in the project, and tying it in with our national and global goals, we seek to engage them with a message of empowerment: that when we all work together, we can make our community and the world we live in a better place.
2. National: The Portrait Press Fundraising Grant for the Arts. Net profits from Portrait Press Fundraising will go toward establishing a grant to support the arts in the U.S. The grant will be awarded to schools whose vision for arts education exceeds their resources for realizing it. By helping these schools put their plans into action, we hope to inspire and motivate other schools to do the same.
3. Global: International Partnerships. Each year, Portrait Press Fundraising will partner with an overseas organization that works to help children attend school. By supporting these programs, we act on our conviction that our obligations to the next generation don’t stop at our own nation’s border.
